A Great Stay Starts With Getting to Know Your Dog.

$130 per boarding day · Two night minimum

Before welcoming a new guest for overnight boarding, we take the time to learn who they are. Their $130 full day First Stay introduces them to our environment and helps us understand their comfort, needs, social preferences, and fit.

Submit an inquiry first. We’ll follow up about availability and next steps. Traveling from outside Truckee? An initial phone assessment can begin the process; the First Stay is still required before overnight boarding.

GOOD TO KNOW

  • No. Social time is chosen for the individual dog. Some enjoy a well matched dog or small group; others do better with individual outings or one on one attention. Group play is never required.

  • Days balance movement, sniffing and exploration, enrichment, individual attention and rest. Social experiences are chosen by fit. The balance changes with your dog’s energy, comfort and needs.

  • Dogs sleep individually in crates at night, with a predictable, protected space of their own. Daytime rest is tailored to the dog, including beds near us, quiet outdoor space or uninterrupted crate rest between activities.

  • We review your application and reach out to arrange a full day at Trail & Co. before your dog’s first overnight. They meet our team, explore and start settling in while we get to know them. The First Stay is $130 for the full day.

  • Start with REQUEST A STAY and share your preferred dates and information about your dog. We review your application and reach out about next steps. New guests complete a First Stay before overnight boarding.
